Making Adolescence More Adult
In the article "The Big Wait" by Allen & Allen (2010) it suggests that we can combat adolescent restlessness, boredom and apathy by introducing adult-like work into the teenage world. A great read!
Lesson Planning: Include 6 Facets of Understanding
I'm taking a course and came across the 6 Facets of Understanding by McTighe & Wiggins. Their strategies should be included in our lessons. The suggested strategies: explanation, interpretation, application, perspective, empathy, and self knowledge are to lead students to understanding.
