All students, parents, and members of the school community are to be respected!
"Equity and inclusive education aim to understand, identify, address, and eliminate the biases, barriers, and power dynamics that limit students' prospects for learning, growing and fully contributing to society (Equity and Inclusion in Ontario Schools, 2009).
Through shared and committed leadership, it is our role to identify and eliminate biases and barriers to discrimination.

Measuring Aboriginal Learning

In an effort to better understand Aboriginal learning, government, Aboriginal organizations and communities are building a new framework and developing policies around the Aboriginal perspective on learning (The State of Aboriginal Learning in Canada, 2009).  Following this direction, The Economist via Zite writes, "Many First Nationers want to be free to adjust the curriculum to include their own language and culture while still meeting official standards" ("These Schools Are Our Schools", October 19, 2013).
