Broadening the View of Differentiated Instruction

The article, Broadening the View of Differentiated Instruction we develop an adaptive approach to DI and and this involves adjusting instruction while it is taking place to meet the specific needs of individual students or the demands of a particular situation that could not be anticipated or planned for ahead of time.  Many of the plans we make as teachers involve a pre-assessment of student needs, however, students will react differently to every situation they face and pre-assement information can only go so far.  Teachers must be able to monitor students' progress and adapt lessons accordingly.
